Marang Trail (leading To Mount Faber)
By MRT: alight at Harbourfront station Exit D.

By Bus: take bus service number 10, 30, 57, 61, 65, 80, 93, 97, 100, 131, 143, 145, 161, 300, 646 or 855 alight at bus stop in front of Seah Im Food Center at Telok Blangah Road

By Car: Carpark is available at Seah Im Food Center

Nature Walk routes info - Southern Ridges

The Southern Ridges comprise a 9-kilometre chain of green, open spaces spanning the rolling hills of Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Kent Ridge Park before ending at West Coast Park. The parks are seamlessly linked by foot trails and connection bridges.

The most popular route is the foot trails from Mount Faber to Alexandra Arch. It consists of the iconic bridge - Henderson Waves - a curly artistic bridge that sits high across Henderson Road. Refer to the map below for this route.

The route for this nature walk is as follows.

HabourFront MRT station Exit D, or Bus stop. Refer to the MRT and bus icon at lower right corner of the map.

There is a bus stop at Alexandra Road. Refer to the bus icon and bridge icon located at the top left corner of the map.

The route starts at Marang Trail just beside HarbourFront MRT Exit D and ends at Alexandra Arch at Alexandra Road. It takes around 2 hours for a slow leisurely walk.

If you have strong leg muscles, it will be a good exercise too especially climbing the staircases along Marang Trail. On the other hand, if you are concerned that it is too tiring for your legs, you can start the walk in the reverse path – “Alexandra Arch”. The bridge for the forest walk is a gradual slope.

If you wish to see the night scenes, you may begin the walk in the late afternoon e.g. 5pm. Then, at the end of the walk you still can see the night scenes.

Admission for this route is free of charge! Come, quickly grab it. I started to appreciate what Singapore government has done for us! It is indeed a good place to hang out to recharge the exhausted battery in us :)

Getting Around:

There are sufficient signs to lead you to Henderson Waves. But the route to Aexandra Arch/Hortpark is a bit on your own. No worries though as there are lots of regulars around which you can ask along the way.

What to bring:

Water bottle
Umbrella
Camera. Remember to charge the batteries.
Torchlight in the event that the street lights are out of order. At night, the route is well lit, quite romantic :) However, you may want to bring along a torch light in the event that the street lights are out of order.

Thing to note: Wear a Comfortable pair of walking shoes

Alexandra Arch Day & Night scenes – Southern Ridges

At night, the Alexandra Arch is like a pretty girl gorgeously dressed and lit with colorful lights.

At one moment, it is dressed up in blue. Another moment, it passionately switches to pink. Sometimes, it is partially red and partially blue. Alexandra Arch! You are simply colorful and gorgeous!

Forest Walk – Southern Ridges

Whoa! Look at the plants under the bridge. I never see this kind of plants.. so huge and elegant. The tip of plant is creamy and the size is bigger than a A3 paper. Amazing!

Henderson waves - Southern Ridges

Henderson waves - the icon of Southern Ridges – a curly artistic bridge in the midst of greenery. It sits high across Henderson Road and connects Mount Faber Park to Telok Blangah Hill Park. It is also Singapore’s highest pedestrian bridge.


	Tourists taking a good rest at the wooden bench. Some just lie on the bench, looking at the city skyline, chit chatting, eating and enjoying the breeze…

Panoramic Views from Mount Faber

From here, you can have a panoramic views of the sea, the “Sentosa Gateway” and blue sky.

Sit back and relax. Hmm.. Cable cars bringing tourists to the Sentosa Island.
Oops! Dark clouds began gathering in the sky. ;p It was going to rain soon. :(

Mount Faber – Southern Ridges Nature Walk

After a week of hard work, my friends and I decided to take a scroll at “Southern Ridges”. We started off the stroll from behind Harbourfront MRT Station, through the forests of Marang Trail to Mount Faber Park.

Have not been exercising for quite some time. Getting a little tired already :) However, I enjoyed the greenery along the way. It is indeed a pleasant and refreshing stroll back to the nature.

Sigh! so many steps to climb…
Finally, reaching the pavilion at Mount Faber. Sweat !!

Let’s take a good deep breath of the fresh air. ha… hu…

Hei! look at the orange flowers there. So beautiful! We took a slow stroll while enjoying the cool breeze here.

Let’s go to the Pavilion to take a sit. Enjoy the view and the cooling breeze.
